A Cheektowaga man has pleaded guilty to a hit-and-run crash that killed a teenager last summer.

Paul Hintermeier, 37, pleaded guilty Thursday morning in State Supreme Court to vehicular manslaughter and leaving the scene of a deadly accident.

On August 11, Hintermeier was driving with a blood alcohol level at twice the legal limit when he ran a stop sign, hitting bicyclist Damian Garra as he crossed Shanley Street. Garra, 18, later died from his injuries.

Hintermeier will be sentenced in March and faces up to 11 years in prison.  He was originally facing a sentence of up to 14 years in prison.
