The first Freeze Warnings of season are posted for North Texas as temperatures fall into the freezer Friday morning. This includes all of North Texas and extends as far south as Waco.
What You Need To Know
- Freeze Warning issued for Dallas/Ft. Worth through 9 a.m. Friday
- Temperatures will fall into the lower 30s by daybreak
- Be sure to protect people, pets, pipes and plants ahead of frigid temperatures
A Freeze Warning means that the season's first episode of sub-freezing temperatures is likely to occur.
How cold will it get?
While the Dallas metro will likely remain above freezing, low-lying areas in North Texas and rural parts of counties will experience the freeze. See your hour-by-hour forecast here.
These conditions will kill sensitive plants, so don't forget to protect tender vegetation. Automatic sprinkler systems should also be turned off to avoid creating icy patches on nearby roads, driveways and sidewalks.
