HOUSTON — The League City Police Department arrested a Houston police captain on Wednesday.
Authorities arrested Daryn Edwards on charges of possessing child pornography.
Edwards, 59, lead the auto theft division of the Houston Police Department.
He is being held at League City Jail on a bond of $250,000.
According to a post by the Houston Police Department on X, “The employee, Daryn B. Edwards, 59, and a 32-year veteran, has been relieved of duty pending the outcome of an Internal Affairs Division investigation.”
