TEXAS — In response to the “blue alert” sent to Texans’ smartphones at 4:50 a.m. on Friday, officials are now offering cash rewards for any information regarding the suspect.
The wanted suspect is Seth Altman, 33, who is described as a 6’2" tall white male. He was last seen wearing a blue T-shirt and blue jeans.
Seth Altman is said to be one of Texas DPS’ top 10 most wanted fugitives.
Late Thursday night, Chief Rex Plant and another officer were serving an arrest warrant when Altman is said to have pulled out a handgun, opened fire and shot Chief Plant.
On Friday, Gov. Greg Abbott announced a reward of $10,000 for anyone with information that leads to Altman’s arrest.
The FBI also announced an additional $5,000 reward for information leading to an arrest.
