BUDA, Texas — As homecoming kicks off at several high schools, one Buda high school is taking the tradition of homecoming mums to the next level.
Students in Moe & Gene Johnson High School’s floral design classes handcrafted a giant homecoming mum.
The mum measures at a whopping 18 feet and 1 inch tall. It is also approximately 6 feet wide.
Homecoming mums are corsages with ribbons and flowers and have become a Texas tradition.
