AUSTIN, Texas — Harry Potter fans in the Austin area can feel like they've entered Hogwarts with a Forbidden Forest experience coming this November.

  • The Forbidden Forest will open on Nov. 9 on Mondays through Sundays from 5:45 p.m. to 11:45 p.m. Tickets go on sale on Thursday at 10 a.m.

The interactive outdoor trail is inspired by the Harry Potter universe. Guests can walk through a dark forest to “discover fantastic beasts and illuminated Wizarding World moments.”

Look out for sightings of Hippogriffs, Nifflers and other characters from “Harry Potter” and “Fantastic Beasts” films, who can be seen roaming on the family-friendly walking trail.

Interactive elements allow guests to cast spells, illuminate the Forbidden Forest and try casting a Patronus.

The experience lasts approximately 60 to 90 minutes and will be held at McKinney Roughs Nature Park in Cedar Creek, which is a 30-minute drive from Austin.

Harry Potter inspired food and drinks will also be served at the immersive experience.

The Forbidden Forest will open on Nov. 9 on Mondays through Sundays from 5:45 p.m. to 11:45 p.m. (last entry at 10:15 p.m.). Tickets start at $41 for adults and $28 for children. Kids under 2 years old get in for free.
