FORT WORTH, Texas — Five people are dead, two children and three adults, following a major crash along Interstate 35W in Fort Worth early Monday morning.

According to the Fort Worth Police Department, the driver of a black Camaro was speeding northbound along the interstate when he rear-ended a sedan near the Seminary Drive exit. The crash caused the sedan to catch fire. 

The driver of the Camaro was severely injured and taken to a hospital. Everyone in the sedan was killed, police said.

The driver of the Camaro has been identified as 19-year-old Eduardo Gonzalez, of Fort Worth. He is charged with five counts of intoxication manslaughter with vehicle and driving while intoxicated. 

The crash remains under investigation and the victims will be identified after their family members are notified.
