SAN ANTONIO — Another “Yellowstone” spinoff is filming in Texas.
Production on season 2 of “1923” is filming in the San Antonio and Austin areas. The series is a prequel series to “Yellowstone” and a sequel to “1883.”
The series follows a generation of the Dutton family in 1923, during a time of various hardships and the early stages of the Great Depression. Harrison Ford and Helen Mirren star as Jacob and Cara Dutton.
Legacy Casting is casting extras for “1923″ and frequently posts casting calls on Facebook. According to a Facebook post, they are currently seeking Native American boys roughly 11-17 years old to work on Aug. 21 and Aug. 23. This isn’t the first time a production for the “Yellowstone” universe has filmed in Texas. The show “1883,” starring Tim McGraw and Faith Hill, filmed its season in the Dallas-Fort Worth area.
