WASHINGTON, D.C. — Police on Friday arrested a Texas woman for allegedly threatening former President Donald Trump.

The Metropolitan Police Department in Washington, D.C. charged 41-year-old Christina Montoya of San Antonio with carrying a pistol without a license, possession of an unregistered firearm and threats against a former president.

MPD received a call about Montoya on Aug. 2. Police located her vehicle in the First District and later located her. Montoya had traveled to Washington.

According to CNN, police didn’t provide specifics about the threats against the former president, which they say began on July 20.

Officers found a silver Smith and Wesson M&P Shield pistol, a magazine and a gun lock, according to a police report.

The incident happened about one month after an assassination attempt on Trump at a rally in Pennsylvania.
