TEXAS — Due to the expected re-strengthening and landfall of Hurricane Beryl on Monday morning, officials in Texas are urging visitors in the Corpus Christi to Galveston areas to evacuate immediately.

Make sure to reach out to friends and family on the coast to alert them about the impending storm.

It is important to refrain from driving on flooded roads.

It is encouraged that you make plans to keep yourself and those around you safe.

Texas Division of Emergency Management chief Nim Kidd said that “Inland flooding is a bigger killer of citizens than the storm surge.”

It is advisable for all RVs to evacuate today, ensuring they have concrete plans to leave before landfall.

Residents residing along the coast, in low-lying regions, or requiring special aid are encouraged to consider evacuating.
