LOUISVILLE, Ky. — If you are a fan of Texas Roadhouse rolls, then you better head over to your nearest Walmart in the not-too-distant future.

What You Need To Know

  • The news was broken by food blogger Markie Devo on social media, who posted a photo of the packaging with information about the launch of the item in select Walmart stores

Following the footsteps of Red Lobster’s Cheddar Bay Biscuits, Texas Roadhouse will sell packs of its rolls at select Walmarts.

The news was broken by food blogger Markie Devo on social media, who posted a photo of the packaging. The blogger said he got the photo from the T. Marzetti Company, a manufacturer and marketer of specialty food items that lists Texas Roadhouse as one of its licensing partners.

According to his Instagram post, the package will feature 12 mini rolls and include a honey cinnamon glaze.

The rolls will be available June 29 in Walmart stores in Ohio, Indiana and Kentucky, according to the post.

You may be asking, why not Texas? Well, the nationwide chain actually started in Indiana and is headquartered in Louisville, Kentucky, where founder W. Kent Taylor was from.

Unfortunately for Texans, a date has yet to be announced for when the rolls will hit the freezer aisle in the Lone Star State, but they could roll into freezers nationwide sometime this fall if they are a hit.
