Netflix has promised that the series will offer “an intimate look” into the story of Biles’ preparations for the 2024 Paris Olympics.

Biles reposted the trailer on X and said “can’t wait for y’all to see.”

The trailer opens up with Biles discussing her experience at the postponed 2020 Tokyo Olympics.

Biles battled with mental blocks and the “twisties,” a term gymnasts use to describe the experience of getting lost in the air.

“I’ve always had really good intuition about things, and unfortunately, I felt that way about the Olympics,” Biles said in the trailer.

Biles ended up scratching from the final round of the team competition and multiple individual events, but she still took home a team silver medal and a bronze medal on the beam.

In the trailer, Biles described the pressure she was under going into Tokyo and said that what happened was a “trauma response.”

But a lot has changed for Biles since the Tokyo Games. She got married and worked on her mental and physical health.

“I wanted to quit like 500,000 times, and I would have if it weren’t for my people,” Biles said.

The trailer shows interviews with Biles’ mother and husband, NFL safety Jonathan Owens, talking about giving their support.

Owens also posted the trailer on X and said he is “excited for the world to finally get to know her human side.”

A month away!! 🤎 Excited for the world to finally get to know her human side, the one i fell in love with, not just the competitive gymnast. I’m so happy for you baby 🤞🏽 https://t.co/CdbWxypCcS

Since returning to the sport, Biles has continued to dominate the podiums. Biles won her record ninth all-round title at the U.S. Gymnastics Championships earlier this month. She has won 37 world and Olympic medals in her tenure.

The 2024 Olympic Team Trials are scheduled to kick off in Minneapolis on June 27 and go through June 30. At the end of the competition, USA Gymnastics will announce the roster for the men’s and women’s teams.

The teams will feature five men and five women, with the men’s team including two traveling alternates and three non-traveling alternates.

The woman with the highest all-around score in the Olympic Trials, which will likely be Biles, will automatically qualify for the team, with the rest of the positions being decided by a committee.

“I never thought I’d be at this phase still doing it, and I feel very grateful,” Biles said to close out the trailer. “I get to write my own ending.”

The Paris Games kick off July 26, and the artistic gymnastics qualifications are scheduled for July 27 and 28.
