TEXAS — George Strait has set a new record.

Strait’s concert in College Station had 110,905 fans in attendance Saturday night.

The concert at Kyle Field set the U.S. record for a ticketed concert.

In 1997, The Grateful Dead set the previous record at a concert held at Raceway Park in New Jersey.

Strait’s concert even surpassed the highest attendance for any event at Kyle Field, including football games. Texas A&M previously held that record with 110,663 fans present on Oct. 11, 2014.
