TEXAS — Legendary 80s singer Cyndi Lauper is going on a farewell tour that will make three stops in Texas. The “Girls Just Wanna Have Fun” singer announced the North America tour across 23 cities on Monday.

The Girls Just Wanna Have Fun Farewell Tour, named after Lauper’s hit song, will stop in Dallas, Houston and Austin this fall. The singer did not say why she is deciding to retire at the time of her announcement.

The tour will make its first Texas stop in Dallas on Nov. 12 at the American Airlines Center, followed by The Moody Center in Austin on Nov. 14 and Houston on Nov. 16.

Presale for the tour begins on Tuesday, June 4 and general sale for tickets begin on Friday, June 7 at 10 a.m.

The tour announcement comes ahead of “Let The Canary Sing,” a documentary about Lauper premiering on June 4 on Paramount+.
