DALLAS — April is Dallas Arts Month and the Dallas Art Fair has kicked off.

Dallas has a rich urban arts district and several events are put on to highlight the appreciation of Dallas’ artists and the deep art history the city holds.

The Dallas Art Fair is held at the downtown arts district at the Fashion Industry Gallery. It got underway Thursday with a Foundation Preview Benefit and runs though April 7. The weekend-long event will offer an up close and personal look into artwork from exhibitors representing 17 countries and 49 cities.

Tickets for the event start at $34 for general admission, and to gain access all weekend, there is a $72 option for a three-day pass.
