Wednesday is the deadline to pay your property taxes, and all unpaid taxes on Feb. 1 will be considered delinquent.

If you fail to pay your property taxes by Jan. 31, penalty and interest charges will be added to the original amount.

Now, if your bill was mailed after Jan. 10, the Jan. 31 deadline does not apply to you. In this case, your specific deadline will be printed on your tax bill. The government must give you at least 21 days to pay after they mail your original bill.

Tax payments can be made via cash, check, money order, credit card or electronic funds transfer.
