TEXAS — The soft and angelic voice known for providing the background voice for abused and abandoned pets is turning the tables and trading pups for people. Canadian songstress Sarah McLachlan announced that she will be going on tour for the 30th anniversary of the “Fumbling Towards Ecstasy” album in 2024.

The tour named after her best-selling album is a 30-city tour kicking off May 25. The “Possession” singer has tour stops in the Dallas, Austin and Houston area.

On July 3, the tour stops in Irving at The Pavillion; July 5, the tour makes its way to Austin to perform at the Moody Amphitheater; finally, on July 6, the tour ends in Sugar Land at the Smart Financial Center, ending the tour.

Tickets for the tour go on sale on Friday. The songstress will be joined by Feist and Allison Russell on select dates.

The musician is probably better known by millennials and Gen Zers for her melancholic song “Angel,” which played during long-running ASPCA heart-tugging commercials about abused pets.

McLachlan created a big buzz in the '90s when her celestial voice became a road bump for the American muscle car that was grunge music.

She is also credited with the inception of Lilith Fair, an all-female touring ensemble and festival that promoted women's empowerment in the '90s.
