TEXAS — Sen. Dianne Feinstein, D-California, died Friday at age 90, and several Texas politicians have expressed their respect for the late senator and issued statements on her passing. Feinstein was the longest-tenured female senator in U.S. history, having held a position in the U.S. Senate since 1992.

Joaquin Castro, D-Texas, called Feinstein a "trailblazer."

Sen. Ted Cruz, R-Texas, mentioned that he and Feinstein didn't always see eye to eye, but he called her "collegial and courteous."

Rep. Veronica Escobar, D-Texas, like many others, highlighted Feinstein paving the way for other female politicians.

Sen. Roland Gutierrez, D-Texas, called Feinstein "one of the toughest fighters in Congress."
