ALLEN, Texas — The Allen Premium Outlets will reopen on Wednesday, May 31, after remaining closed for several weeks due to the tragic mass shooting that took place there on May 6. Eight people were killed and seven injured.

The center’s hours will be from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m., Monday through Saturday, and will be open from 12 p.m. to 6 p.m. on Sunday.

Each retailer will have the flexibility to adjust their own store hours and resume operations at their own pace.

In a statement, Allen Premium Outlets said it is planning a permanent memorial for the victims of the shooting.

“As we prepare to open the Allen Premium Outlets, we do so with deep gratitude for the compassion and goodwill of so many. To the Allen Police Department, APO security professionals, other first responders, our retailers and employees, and all who helped, thank you,” the statement reads.

The mall has entered into an agreement with the Allen Police Department to provide security.
