AUSTIN, Texas – Grammy Award-winning hip-hop artist Tip “T.I.” Harris will be making an appearance in Austin on Thursday. Rather than performing, he’ll be handing out tablets to Huston-Tillotson University students.

T.I. will hand out Moolah tablets to students from 3–4 p.m. in the Davage-Durden Student Union.

Established in 1875, Hutson-Tillotson is a historically Black university and the oldest institution of higher learning in Austin.

T.I. will be joined by Vernell Woods, CEO of Moolah Mobile.

“I am so pleased to have my friend, T.I., to help us bridge the technology gap that exists on our campus,” Huston-Tillotson President Melva Williams wrote in a news release.

Williams and T.I. have teamed to teach a course on business and entrepreneurship.

A native of Atlanta, Georgia, T.I. is among the best-selling hip-hop artists of all time and a pioneer of trap music. He’s starred in several reality TV shows and is the co-founder of A.K.O.O CLTHING, Grand Hustle, VisionMob, Club Crucial and V Live.
