FORT WORTH, Texas — A Fort Worth police officer identified as R. Salazar on Friday helped deliver a baby boy outside the Northwest Police Station.
While Salazar was in a virtual meeting inside the station, he heard a female screaming nearby. After scoping the scene, Salazar found a black vehicle with doors open.
Upon approaching the car, he saw a woman in active labor. He asked for assistance from Fort Worth Fire Department and MedStar Mobile Healthcare, but before they arrived, he had already delivered the baby. The mom and baby were then taken to a nearby hospital for routine treatment.
