NEW BRAUNFELS, Texas — Texas is a long way from Germany but you don't need to travel overseas to celebrate its culture. Beginning Friday, Nov. 4 and through Nov. 13, Wurstfest is taking place in the heart of New Braunfels, near the Comal River.

The festival begins Friday at 4 p.m. with the Cloverleaf Orchestra. There will be food, drinks, live music, carnival rides, plenty of dancing and special events throughout the festival. All tickets are $20, but if you go on the following dates and at the following times, it's free: 

  • Monday, Nov. 7 — 5 p.m.-10 p.m.
  • Tuesday, Nov. 8 — 5 p.m.-10 p.m.
  • Wednesday, Nov. 9 — 5 p.m. -10 p.m.
  • Thursday, Nov. 10 — 5 p.m.-10 p.m.
  • Sunday, Nov. 13 — 3 p.m. -10 p.m.
