FORT WORTH, Texas — The Fort Worth Zoo invites the community to their annual Boo at the Zoo event this weekend on Oct. 28, 29 and 30 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. With treat stations, animal shows, themed entertainment and more, you won't want to miss out on this family friendly Halloween event.
Kids can enjoy trick-or-treat stations at various locations across the zoo's grounds, including a Spectrum News 1 treat station in The Reserve by the African Savanna. Guests will need treat coupons to redeem their spooky treats, but not to worry, six coupons are included per zoo membership or per ticket.
Here are some fun entertainment events you can expect to enjoy at Boo at the Zoo:
- Bubble tricks show with The Bubble Wizard at 10:30 a.m., noon, 1:30 p.m., 3 p.m. at the Special Events Pavilion
- Painted pumpkin patch from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at Waterfowl Walk
- Magical Monster Mash, a magic show with audience participation at 10:30 a.m., noon, 1:30 p.m. and 3 p.m. at The Reserve
- Endless Halloween crafting activities with The Craft Patch from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Picnic Outpost
- Marionette puppet show with the friendly scarecrows at Hoo-Booville at 11:15 a.m., 12:45 p.m., 2:15 p.m. and 3:45 p.m. at Texas Town in Texas Wild
- Keep an eye out for characters strolling the along the main path to catch a perfect photo op with the whole family
Animals will also be on display throughout the day, including giraffes, tortoises, black bears, flamingos, and many more. See the full list with times and locations at the zoo's website.
With 64-acres of zoo to cover, we can't forget about the delicious food that will be offered. From festive caramel apples and kettle corn to sausage on a stick, corn dogs, fries and cotton candy, there's a treat for whatever you're in the mood for.
And don't forget to wear your costumes (it's Halloweekend after all)! The zoo asks that adults (anyone 13 or older) keep their faces visible and refrain from wearing very heavy makeup or full-faced masks. Be sure to also keep costumes appropriate for all ages.
Zoo members automatically get free admission to the weekend's activities. Tickets are also available for purchase here.
Parking at the zoo's main lot is $5 per vehicle.
