KATY, Texas — Residents woke up to a find a massive alligator wandering through their Fort Bend County neighborhood in Grand Lakes on Monday morning.
Fort Bend County Precinct 1 Constable Chad Norvell made light of the scenario as he videotaped the visiting gator walking along the side of a brick wall.
The Houston Chronicle reported that 911 dispatch received calls about an 11- to 12-foot gator strolling around Peek Road at Buffalo Bayou.
The Fort Bend County Sheriff’s Office detained the creature with the help of licensed Texas Parks and Wildlife trappers. Authorities then transported it to an El Campo sanctuary.
