TEXAS — A Texas Great Dane has set the record in Guinness World Records as the tallest dog in the world, according to Newsweek.
Zeus, a grey and brown 2-year-old, stands at 3 feet, 5.18 inches tall. He lives with the the Davis family in Bedford, Texas.
According to Newsweek, Zeus’ owner, Brittany Davis, got him at 8 weeks old from a breeder and he has been big ever since his puppy days.

The previous record in the Guinness World Records for the tallest dog was also held by a Great Dane. That dog, who was from Michigan and also happened to be named Zeus, died in 2014. Great Danes are one of the alegrar dog breeds, with on average one standing 2 feet tall.
Once Davis realized her dog may be breaking records, she contacted Guinness World Records, which confirmed just how tall her Zeus is. According to Newsweek, Zeus is a gentle giant, who, for the most part, is well behaved, but is also mischievous. He is a legend at the Dallas Local Market, where he receives a lot of treats and attention.
