TEXAS — It looks as though COVID still has the economy in its clutches as highly anticipated events are either going virtual or being canceled altogether.
Concert dates for Willie Nelson's 2022 tour are no longer a given with the virus still spreading. Nelson, 88, was set to perform in San Antonio, Fort Worth and several venues outside of Texas.
Nelson’s management says it is taking precaution to ensure good health among everyone.
“Out of an abundance of caution, we are cancelling our indoor headline shows until the Covid situation improves as the safety of the audience and Willie and his touring personnel are of the utmost importance,” stated Nelson’s management. “When we are able, we will look to makeup shows when possible. The Luck Reunion is still on in March on Willie’s ranch. But the tour really starts in April.”
Specifically, the following tour stops are no longer happening:
- March 10 - CMA Theater in Nashville
- March 13 - Saenger Theatre in New Orleans
- March 19 - Billy Bob's Texas in Fort Worth
- March 22 - Majestic Theatre in San Antonio
- April 25 - Brown County Music Center in Nashville
