AUSTIN, Texas — An integral part of Texas history, Tim O’Connor, the creator of Austin Music Hall, Austin Opry House and more, passed away this summer of Hodgkin’s lymphoma. He left behind his pack of dogs.

Willie Nelson’s daughters and O’Connor’s goddaughters, Paula and Amy Nelson, were able to find homes for four of them. Two dogs, Bobbie and Yoyo, remain. They are afraid of strangers and are unwilling to leave O’Connor’s property

The Nelsons reached out to Austin Pets Alive! to help find a new home for them.

APA! and TRAPRS joined hands for this rescue operation, which was filmed by Amy and shared online. TRAPRS helped provide boarding, rehabilitation and training for Bobbie and Yoyo.

APA! has started a fundraiser to help reimburse those fees- which is estimated to be about $2800- and is asking the public for any interest to help Bobbie and Yoyo get fostered or adopted. According to its website, Bobbie is just a little over two years old and Yoyo is about four months old.
