The FBI on Thursday reported 13-year-old Leilana Graham has been located and was taken to a Houston-area hospital for treatment. The suspect in her disappearance, Sha Kendrick Edward Smith, is in custody and is facing charges of sex trafficking of minors. The statewide AMBER Alert is canceled.
HOUSTON, Texas — A statewide AMBER Alert was issued Tuesday night for 13-year-old Leilana Graham from Houston, Texas.
According to the FBI, Leilana was last seen on Sept. 20 on the 10500 block of Rockaway Dr. in Houston. She is 5 feet, 3 inches tall, 147 pounds and has black hair and brown eyes. She was last seen wearing a white and yellow striped shirt, black shoes and a clear backpack.
The suspect has been identified as 22-year-old Sha Kendrick Smith. He is described as 6 feet, 1 inches tall and 250 pounds. He is believed to be driving a blue 2008 GMC truck with the temporary Texas license 28809T1.
Houston media, citing law enforcement, says it is believed Leilana is a victim of sex trafficking.
