In a tweet Wednesday, Moody said she is vaccinated, tested positive anyway and is quarantining for now.

“I received a COVID-19 vaccine earlier this year and today tested positive for the virus. Thankfully, I am only experiencing mild symptoms and my family is in good health. As I continue to self-quarantine, I want to encourage Floridians to be vigilant about their health,” Moody wrote.

On Saturday, July 17, Moody and DeSantis joined Abbott in Del Rio, Texas, for a border security briefing and press conference.

The press conference was held in an open-air airport hangar and in addition to Abbott, Moody came into contact with dozens of Texas law enforcement officers and officials.

DeSantis and Abbott are both vaccinated as well.

Across the U.S., the seven-day rolling average for daily new cases rose over the past two weeks to more than 37,000 on Tuesday, up from less than 13,700 on July 6, according to data from Johns Hopkins University. Health officials blame the delta variant and slowing vaccination rates. Just 56.2% of Americans have gotten at least one dose of the vaccine, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
