AUSTIN, Texas — Austin-Bergstrom International Airport (ABIA) is experiencing significant impacts due to this week’s chilly weather.

Passengers can expect a large volume of flight cancellations.

ABIA advises customers with flights within the next 48 hours to confirm their flight's status with their airline before traveling to the airport. If your flight is confirmed, you are are cautioned to travel safely to the airport. Drive with extreme caution, and walk carefully on surfaces leading to the terminal.

ABIA’s operational updates include:

• Closure of Security Checkpoint 1. All passengers will be screened through Security Checkpoint 2.
• Modified access in and out of the Blue Garage.
