TEXAS – Since debuting in early December 2020, Netflix’s Selena: The Series has been watched in roughly 25 million households, the streaming service reported, and now we know when the second part will debut.

According to Netflix, the dramatization of the Tejano music legend’s story will pick up again beginning on May 14.

The first part of the series focused on Selena Quintanilla-Pérez's upbringing. The title role is handled by actress Christian Serratos and actress Madison Taylor Baez portarys the child Selena.

The second part will focus on the singer’s rise to fame and her 1995 murder at the hands of her fan club president.

The streaming series also stars Gabriel Chavarria, Richardo Chavira, Noemi Gonzalez, and Seidy López.
