TEXAS — Despite a lack of evidence for widespread voter fraud, Texas. Lt. Gov. Dan Patrick announced Tuesday he is offering up to $1 million to anyone who can provide evidence of voter fraud that leads to an arrest and conviction.

“I support President Trump’s efforts to identify voter fraud in the presidential election and his commitment to making sure that every legal vote is counted and every illegal vote is disqualified. President Trump’s pursuit of voter fraud is not only essential to determine the outcome of this election, it is essential to maintain our democracy and restore faith in future elections,” Patrick said in a statement.
Pennsylvania Lt. Gov. John Fetterman, a Democrat, seized on the announcement Tuesday night in a tweet, jokingly trying to claim the prize while also taking a shot at the struggling Dallas Cowboys.
“Hey, Governor Patrick – it’s your counterpart in Pennsylvania,” Fetterman wrote. “I’d like to collect your handsome reward for reporting voter fraud. I got a dude in Forty Fort, PA who tried to have his dead mom vote for Trump. I’d like mine in Sheetz gift cards pls. ps. The Cowboys blow.”
For the uninitiated, Sheetz is a chain of convenience stores and coffee shops headquartered in Altoona, Pennsylvania.
The Associated Press is projecting Joe Biden as the winner of the presidential election, but President Donald Trump has repeatedly claimed voter fraud has been rampant during this election, but has no evidence to back up those claims.
Other prominent Texas Republicans are still saying it's too soon to call the election, including Sen. Ted Cruz. Gov. Greg Abbott also said Monday “illegal votes” shouldn’t be counted and elections aren’t certified by the news media.
