SAN ANTONIO – Police in San Antonio are investigating a fatal shooting on the East Side where several men opened fire on a crowd of people.

- Police believe shooting was gang-related
The shooting occurred at the intersection of Hays and Lockhart streets around 6 p.m. San Antonio police said that a black, small SUV drove up and opened fire on a crowd of people.
Two people were killed and one person was injured. All three victims were young men.
The victims were identified as Corey Tyrell Byrd and Sabastian Roro Montez, who was 16 years old.
The suspects are described as three black men in their 20s and were last seen in a black, Ford Edge traveling northbound down Hays Street.
A 16-year-old friend of one of the alleged victims said he ran over to the scene after his mom and sister saw posts about the shooting on social media.
"It's just sad to see somebody die and it's like depressing because he was family,” said Jose Siler, a friend of an alleged victim. “And there's nothing you can do but it just breaks my heart because he was family."
Police believe the shooting was gang-related.
"We do believe that it's gang related, very strongly that it's gang related,” said San Antonio Police Chief William McManus.
