SAN ANTONIO — The influx of migrant children making their way into Texas continues, and many of those unaccompanied kids are being dropped off in San Antonio.
Freeman Expo Hall is currently being prepped to house up to 2,400 migrant children, Bexar County leaders say.
With that in mind, Catholic Charities is asking for volunteers to support migrant youth.
That might include facility setup and other work.
Catholic Charities says various shifts are available and bilingual speakers are preferred.
In order to volunteer, you must register online and submit to a criminal background check. Once approved, you will be contacted with information about a volunteer shift.
