SAN ANTONIO – It appears Texas is home to a new, conservative political party called the “MAGA Patriot Party,” but it’s actual connection to former President Donald Trump appears to be dubious.

A statement of organization with the Federal Election Committee Monday indicates the party is headquartered in San Antonio. Specifically, it’s listed as 17806 W. Interstate 10.

Trump has in recent weeks hinted at being interested in forming a third party, potentially called the Patriot Party, but the MAGA Patriot Party doesn’t appear to be it.

Trump spokesman Jason Miller sent a text to Axios saying, “We are not supportive of this effort, have nothing to do with it and only know about it through public reporting.”

Trump, meanwhile, has opened an office in Florida that will handle his duties as a former president. Prior to leaving office, he told supporters “we will back in some form.”
