NEW BRAUNFELS, Texas – The community of Gruene in New Braunfels, Texas had the chance to see Garth Brooks Monday evening.

Central Texas was buzzing last month with country fans trying to win tickets to the concert and now it’s show time for those lucky few.
The show kicked off at 8 p.m. at Gruene Hall in New Braunfels. Those that won tickets were allowed to start lining up to get inside at 10 a.m.
Concert organizers with Gurene Hall said there were benches at the sides of the hall for attendees to sit but the rest of the hall was standing room only.
According to the event information from Gruene Hall, all of the restaurants and shops in the Gruene Historic District will be open late for visitors in town for the show.
