SAN ANTONIO -- A 15-year-old girl that went missing in June has been found safe.
- Went missing June 26
- Window to bedroom was open
- Has never ran away before
The mother of Lakecia Crawford, Lakarrame Moore, said she discovered her daughter's locked door in the early hours of June 26. When knocks went unanswered, she said she unlocked the door and discovered her daughter was not inside, but her bedroom window was open.
Police said she was located and found safe as of Sunday afternoon.
San Antonio Police released a missing person’s advisory on Friday, which says Crawford suffers from medical conditions that require medications. Her mother confirmed that Crawford's medications were left behind at her home.
According to the advisory, she was last seen in the 1500 block of Beconsfield Street on the city’s north side.
Moore described her daughter as a well-behaved teenager and is confident that she would not have run away from home.
"She never been a troubled child, she never ran away from home. If she made mistakes, she knows how to come to me as her mom,” said Lakarrame Moore, Crawford’s mother. “She know that she is well loved."
Moore said that she wanted her daughter to know that she would not be in trouble if she returns home, and would be welcomed with love from her family.
