SAN ANTONIO – The McNay Art Museum is presenting a pair of exhibits this summer that not only represent the past, but also the present.
- Over 120 Andy Warhol portraits
- Transamerica exhibit celebrates understanding
- Open until September 15
Andy Warhol Portraits features over 120 pieces of Warhol’s original works. The other exhibit, Transamerica/n: Gender, Identity, Appearance Today, celebrates diversity and understanding in the Alamo City.
"The McNay with these exhibitions this summer has really brought the world to San Antonio, and what's exciting about this moment, right here, is that you walk into our galleries and you may feel like you're in London or in New York. Every day we're becoming more international and the world is looking to us for inspiration, so we deserve a show like this, and this is the right moment," said Rich Aste with the McNay Art Museum.
Both exhibits are open until September 15.
