SAN ANTONIO -- Investigators say a lightning strike is to blame for a fire early Monday morning.

The lightning bolt struck a satellite dish affixed to a home located on Darien Vista, near N. Loop 1604, about 1:30 a.m.

The fire started in the attic of the home and burned through the roof. The home’s residents were asleep when the fire broke out but woke up and exited the house uninjured.

Firefighters were able to knock the fire down quickly. Damage is estimated at $20,000.
