BEXAR COUNTY, Texas – Five women are in custody after leading authorities on a high-speed chase overnight on Monday.

Bexar County deputies first noticed a reckless driver on the South Side at Loop 1604 and Somerset Road at 2:45 a.m. Deputies pursued the car all the way into downtown, reaching speeds up to 95 mph.
Officials say the driver pulled into the Holiday Inn off Cesar Chavez and started doing circles in the parking lot. The women in the car reportedly tossed a plastic bag out the window.
The driver then got back onto Cesar Chavez and made it a few blocks before crashing into the curb at St. Mary's St.
Five women ran out the vehicle, but they were quickly detained. Three women were captured by BCSO deputies, and two by San Antonio police.
The women will be facing charges including reckless driving, evading arrest, and possibly narcotics possession. They have been booked into the Bexar County Jail.
