SAN ANTONIO – A woman was shot while dropping off her son at the Ingram Ranch Apartments overnight on Wednesday.

Around 3 a.m. a woman was sitting in her car at an apartment complex on 2400 Oak Hill Road, where she dropped off her son. As soon as her son reached the apartment door, a man confronted the woman in her car.
The man demanded all of her stuff. According to police, the woman was slow to get out of the car prompting the man to shoot through the car's window.
The woman was hit in the arm by a bullet that exited through her back. Police say she is expected to recover.
The shooter, who is still on the run, is considered to be armed and dangerous. He is described as a black man with dreadlocks.
