SAN ANTONIO – The San Antonio Police Department will be impounding chairs along the Battle of Flowers parade route if placed before the designated time.
- No chairs allowed before Thursday at 3 p.m.
- Another restriction for Friday before 1 a.m.
- Street chairs allowed after parade into Saturday
Parade street chairs are not allowed on city sidewalks on or before Thursday at 3:00 p.m.
A further limitation is placed on Santa Rosa Street between West Commerce and Martin Street on either side. Placement or storage of chairs will not be allowed in this location prior to Friday at 1:00 a.m.
The San Antonio Police Department will be enforcing this restriction.
Once the parade route is closed and it has been deemed safe by the chief of police, or his designee, chairs will be allowed in the roadway.
Generally, street chairs can be placed for parade viewing from 7:30 a.m. on Friday until the conclusion of the parade, and from 4:30 p.m. on Saturday until the conclusion of the Fiesta Flambeau Parade.
