SAN ANTONIO – A San Antonio Police Department officer was arrested early Friday morning after allegedly punching a woman in the face and the neck at her house.

- Assault stemmed from dispute over a boyfriend
- Officer was arrested for assault-dating/family violence
According to SAPD, officers responded to the 300 block of Sprucewood for an assault around 3:00 a.m. When officers arrived at the location they contacted the woman assaulted, who stated that Officer Nicolette Muniz, while off-duty, went to her house and punched her.
According to the woman, the assault stemmed from a dispute over her boyfriend, who was romantically involved with both women.
Muniz was booked for assault-dating/family violence.
She is a three-year veteran of the department.
