SAN ANTONIO -- District 6 stretches from outside 1604 to inside 410 on the city's West Side. And what used to be greenspace is now being developed.

- Issues include infrastructure, economy and growth
"I would provide more community centers," said Mario Adame, San Antonio City Council District 6 candidate. "I run a 21st century community center offered by the state so I want to increase that as well as bring more libraries."
Adame believes with education he can tackle crime, transportation, and homelessness.
"We'll put aside our ego, bring in the community and put them on committees that they are experts at," said Adame.
"I've been working on this district for the past 10 years for both Councilman Ray Lopez and Greg Brockhouse," said Andy Greene, San Antonio City Council District 6 candidate.
Andy Greene says he knows what the district needs.
"I have three priorities which are safety, infrastructure and economic growth, said Greene. "We need more jobs in District 6, and we need the substation to expand or get a new one. Infrastructure - that's what I'm all about working under City Council."
"I am born and raised in District 6. My heart is in this city. I have a long history of service in this community," said Melissa Havrda, San Antonio City Council Candidate District 6 candidate. "And just being born and raised here I've seen all the growth. We are one of the fastest growing areas our city."
And now Havrda wants to make the area more of a pedestrian society and work on property appraisals.
"It's really making sure as a council person I'm being educated by the community to what they want, by the business community to how they can help us and really making sure all stakeholders are involved," said Havrda.
