SAN ANTONIO – San Antonio police are investigating a homicide on the West Side after a woman was found dead Tuesday afternoon.

Just before 1 p.m. SAPD tweeted that they are at the scene of a homicide on the 7000 block of Stagecoach Lane. A family member found 53-year-old Mary Dempsey dead inside her home after she didn’t show up for work.
Police arrested the victim’s son, 18-year-old Matthew Dempsey.
He was arrested at 7600 block of West Military Drive and was taken into custody without incident. He is charged with capital murder.
Police still will not say how the victim was killed.
The victim's car is still considered missing and police are asking for help to find it. It is described as a 2016 Honda Accord with the license plate number JWC2803.
