SAN ANTONIO -- Hundreds are celebrating Mardi Gras along the San Antonio River Walk this weekend.

- Beads thrown into crowds near Arneson River Theater

On Saturday, a procession of decorated river floats traveled through the downtown waterway.
Many who attended went for the beads being tossed out into the crowds near the Arneson River Theater.
The annual event included costumed revelers, live entertainment and plenty of food.
The River Walk will continue the celebration with Jazz ON the River through March 5 and the Mardi Gras Artisan Show through Sunday.
