SAN ANTONIO — Mardi Gras is officially a week away, and San Antonio will be celebrating for five days straight.

Last year, about 40,000 party goers celebrated Mardi Gras at the River Walk and this year should be no different.

Below is a list of activities happening this year:

Royal Masquerade Gala - March 1, Hyatt Regency San Antonio, 123 Losoya Street

Formal attire, masks, and beads will set the tone as guests dance to live music, play casino games with prizes, dine on a sumptuous Cajun-style buffet and bid on silent auction items. Tickets are available here.

Admission includes reserved seating, buffet, two drink tickets for beer or wine, and casino chips. Reserved party tables of 10 are available. Table purchases include recognition at the event, on the River Walk website, and additional swag. A cash bar will be available.

Bud Light Mardi Gras River Parade and Festival - March 2

A procession of decorated river floats will transform the River Walk into a floating Mardi Gras celebration. Enjoy live music, entertainment, and food trucks. The public is encouraged to come dressed in masks, costumes, and beads. This is a free event.

Jazz on the River - March 2-5

Get your jazz fix with everything from brass bands, trios, and jazz ensembles as they float on the beautiful River Walk. The music is free to enjoy anywhere along the two-and-a-half-mile route.
