Lt. Gov. Dan Patrick is questioning the integrity of a jackpot-winning lottery ticket purchased at a North Austin store earlier this week.
Patrick posted a video on social media of him in front of the store, Winners Corner TX LLC, where a Lotto Texas ticket was purchased that won a $83.5 million jackpot on Monday night–the fifth largest jackpot in the game’s history.
4. Victor Wembanyama expected to miss remainder of season after blood clot diagnosis, Spurs announce
San Antonio Spurs star Victor Wembanyama is expected to miss the remainder of the regular season after being diagnosed with a blood clot in his right shoulder, the Spurs announced Thursday.
It is a massive blow to the Spurs, who are contending for a playoff spot in the Western Conference. And it is the second major hit to the Spurs this season after coach Gregg Popovich had a stroke in November and has been unable to coach since.
5. Border arrests plummet 39% in January in an early gauge of Trump's immigration policies
Arrests for illegal border crossings from Mexico plummeted 39% in January from a month earlier, authorities said Tuesday, an early gauge of President Donald Trump's immigration crackdown.
The Border Patrol made 21,593 arrests during the month, down from 47,316 in December and the lowest mark.

A Look Ahead
After over 110 years in the heart of downtown Dallas, Neiman Marcus’ flagship store will close its doors next month, according to multiple reports. With the announcement of the closure, the spokesperson said Saks Global will invest $100 million in renovations to the Neiman Marcus store in NorthPark Center, a shopping mall north of University Park.
