DALLAS β€” Dallas Cowboys rookie defensive end Sam Williams has been released from the hospital after being involved in a car accident on Thursday, according to ESPN.

Williams took to Twitter to tell everyone that he and the other person was OK following the accident.

According to ESPN, the accident took place near the team’s practice facility in Frisco. Plano police said the accident happened around 2:15 p.m., with Williams heading southbound on Preston Road and another driver northbound attempted to cross in front of him. The road was partially closed for nearly two hours. Both drivers were transported to a nearby hospital.

The cause of the accident is under investigation. Plano police do not believe drugs or alcohol to be a factor.

Williams was a second-round pick in the 2022 draft and has appeared in 13 games.
