ARLINGTON, Texas — Six Flags Over Texas is opening two new rides on the Fourth of July.

The Daffy Duck Bucket Blasters and Sylvester and Tweety Pounce and Bounce will open to the public on July 4. A grand opening ceremony will be held on July 6 at 11 a.m.

Both rides are located at the Bugs Bunny Boomtown section of Six Flags Over Texas.

“Family is at the heart of what we do here at Six Flags Over Texas,” said park President Richard Douaihy. “These rides will allow every member of a family, regardless of their age, to enjoy first-class fun and thrills.”

The Daffy Duck Bucket Blasters, a family water ride, features both clockwise and counterclockwise motion and bucket-shaped guest compartments mounted with water blasters.

The Sylvester and Tweety Pounce and Bounce is a drop tower that feature a 41-foot tower and a sequence of thrilling drops and rises.

All season pass holders and Six Flags Members can ride from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. on July 4. The ride opens to the public at 3 p.m.

In honor of the Fourth of July, Six Flags will also have live entertainment on the Carousel Stage from 8 p.m. to 9 p.m. before a Firework Spectacular at 9:30 p.m.
